Here is a list of some of the most popular or best programming forums on the web, that I’ve come across. Please don’t be shy to leave your own in the comment below. This is a sponsored article for the programming website at: www.sheersoftware.com A programming forum delicated to the programming, software and website development world. Let’s go through some of the best/popular programming forums on the web.
Forums.devshed.com 326,159 members Active Uknown
Devshed.com is quite an old fashioned forum but the community is large and active. It is without a double one of the best and most popular programming forums there is, but there isn’t a lot of socialising. The forum receives over 480 users per hour with a total of 326, 159 members.
Codecall.net 48,525 members Active: Unknown
Codecall is the best programming forum that I’ve come across, their site is very clean and modern. Uses the latest Vbulletin forum CMS so is a very serious community and easy to navigate. The site has over 50,000 members with an average of 300 vistors per hour. There is less advertising as well, so it’s very dedicated to the subject. There is lots of socialising features. I’ve also came across competitions.
Sheersoftware.com
In my opinion sheersoftware.com is one of the best programming forum there is and has the potential to grow fast with new members. There is absolutely no advertising, so this is a forum dedicated to programming and software in general. Sign up now and be part of this growing community. The forum covers lots of subjects, whether software/web development or just to hangout and discuss other topics unrelated sheersoftware.com welcomes all.
Programmingforums.org 25,329 members Active: 745
Programming.org is a very young community. I thought I add it here because I liked the forum structure. The site receives around 100 users per hour. Has a total of 25, 344 members with 741 active.
codeguru.com 326,218 members Active: Unknown
Codeguru has over 326,218 members with an average of 300 users per hour. Codeguru is the most popular programming forum on the web, but not the best in my opinion. It has lots of information and the members to support.
Dreamincode.net 399,382 members
Dreamincode.net is popular. The site is very standard and doesn’t have a lot of community qualities, but the information is there. Dreamincode.net has 399,382 members and receives over 1000 users per hour. There isn’t a lot of socialising features.
Forums.digitalpoint.com 368,951 members Active: 57,949
Forums.digitalpoint.com is a very large forum. The site receives over 1200 users per hour. Has 368,951 members. But has many other subjects so it’s not really a great forum for programming. It’s more of a digital forum but many programmers can be found there.
Youngcoders.com 10,400 members Active: 149
This is a small community of 10,400 members with 149 active. So it’s rarely used. Has no advertising so not very crowded, the site theme is very easy to navigate.
