Spain won the World Cup in 2010 after defeating third-time finalists the Netherlands 1-0, after the extra time. Andre Iniesta scored the winning goal in the 116th minute giving Spain their first World Cup title. The World Cup final was held on the 7/12/2010 Monday early morning hours.
