Spam in WordPress blog comments
Don’t you just hate spam! I get a lot of spam on my blog but I moderate all my comments, so the spam all ends not being displayed wasting a huge space in my comments inventory. I have over 400 spam comments 90% of which are not being displayed. I haven’t quite had the time to investigate whether this spam is actually written by human in the comment form or whether it’s just automated spam.
I feel sorry for anyone wasting his/her time trying to spam wordpress blogs especially when the blog’s comments are being moderated by their authors before they’re displayed. They actually do create a lot of work for the blog own having to delete each spam comment and the email alert messages. I receive lot’s of email alerts for comments on my blog that I have actually stopped visiting the comments url and delete them!
