Since the moon orbits the Earth in an elliptical and not in a perfect circle it has no particular standard distance size from Earth. The average distance between the Moon and the Earth is 384,403 kilometres (238,857 miles). The distance varies between 363,104 kilometres and 405,696 kilometres or 225,622 to 252,088 miles depending on the moon’s location of calculation.
