The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising Film

The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising Film

The film is very stereotypical. The film title itself is too original to what’s in the film. I find films which present the idea of “The Dark and Light”. or “Evil vs Darkness” to be what you might call phony or fake.  In this Film we follow the adventure of a young boy named Will Stanton who discovers that he is the last in a line of time-travellers dedicated to keeping peace and preventing evil forces from enslaving the Universe. William the seeker must collect all the 6 signs before time runs out and to save his family which will lead him to the recovery of his lost brother.

“The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising” was adapted from Susan Cooper’s acclaimed novel, “The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising” It’s an adventure film quite like Harry Potter, but the adventure part of the film is not strong/detailed enough. Magic is used but too ordinary nothing special. There is definitely some weakness to the film story but as you already know some films adapted from books tend not to present a better imagination than the book can deliver. The acting is great but it’s just the story and setting of the film. The fighting scenes are not that amazing as well compared to other better action adventure films you might have watched. There is lack of action and to much speech from very weak elders. The choice of casts is excellent but their characterisation is very average.
