Have you ever wanted to watch TV on your own PC or laptop, just like I very occasionally do? Or have you just hard that it is possible to watch TV on your Computer. Buy a USB TV Card turner

The most legal and less expensive way would be to buy a USB TV turner which you can connect to your computer or laptop. The USB TV turner will be able to connect to your Computer or laptop and you’ll to receiver TV signals in your local area. Some USB TV turners are analogue and others are digital and allow to view free TVs or digital channels in your local area. Some USB TV cards support both. I would recommend getting a digital/one which supports both if your local area has digital channels. USB TV cards are so great for laptops, but the disadvantage about them is that they usually come with a very small aerial which hardly works/picks up signal. So you end up having to use an outdoor aerial each time you want to watch a TV. But they do work in areas which have strong signals. I use a USB TV Card in my laptop; I watch all my TV programs on there. The USB is very flexible, wastes almost no space and is easy to transfer from one place to another. It’s the best option for watching TV on your PC especially the laptops for your local channels; the biggest problem is the luck of signal.

Buy a TV turner card

For this option you might require some knowledge of what goes on inside a computer (Computer building). You would need to buy a TV turner card (not a USB version). With this card it has to be imported into the computer, which will require opening the computer and installing the card. You plug the hardware device into the PCI slot in your computer, and then attach the aerial TV cable to the tuner card. The card will be treated as permanent unlike the USB TV card version. There so many types of these and they’re usually strong than the USB version. Types include satellite if you would like to watch satellite TVs on your computer. There are some analogue versions, Hybrid turners; Combo turns which come with two separate turners. These are great as well; they tend to be permanent within the computer completely turning it into a real TV.

Use Satellite TV on PC Software

Satellite TV on PC software is quite a scam but the concept works. The creators/sellers do complete explain what is being sold. And I would not recommend it. The idea behind it is that someone collects internet TV links which you could visit yourself in your browser and puts them together. The software doesn’t really connect to the satellite, just uses the internet. There has been quite a lot of complaints with Satellite TV on PC software so be careful. Actually you can download some of this software from the internet for free. This option uses the internet so it’s very similar to the next option below.

TV in your browser

I do this quite often, but can waste a lot of bandwidth. So it’s not a good option for mobile broadband or broadband restricted to a certain amount of data transfer per month. TV in your browser works by visiting the TV company website which offers it’s channel online or a TV streaming website and you’ll find many of these. The most popular ones are: wiwtv.com, www.myeasytv.com
